what's up with everyone?

The love of my OH Family has me humbled!!!!
Hey Darlene,
You are not alone! I've been up for hours. Too much going on in my head: sold the house, picked out cabinets, wood will be hickory with a Sienna (light) stain. Picked out appliances, made decisions about plumbing and electrical. House is framed and sided, roofing starts tomorrow. Picked out roofing color today too.
And in the midst of this two more families have looked at our house that already has a contract pending. . . Me thinks perhaps we listed it a bit low? Oh well, hopefully it is sold. Inspection should be tomorrow. We'll get the "to do" list after that. Hope nothing really expensive shows up on this over 50 year old house.
Packed two bags this am: one for Hannah and Clara's for the next three days. Then a big one for the cruise with an empty stowed inside for goodies that I know I'll find to bring home! Packed rain gear, boots, camera, way too many clothes, fancy stuff (thank you Janet!), a book in case I have any down time. . . did I say way too many clothes? The great thing about a cruise is once you unpack that's it. No hauling that suitcase around again until we get off in a week. When we took the cruise 5 years ago I grazed from one end of the ship to the other and still lost 6 lbs. I am so geographically challenged that I always took the wrong direction and ended up walking miles and miles to get anywhere on the ship! Hope it works this time. I'm going to concentrate on those hikes and shore excursions that I could only wistfully dream about last time. eing 180 lbs lighter will make an incredible difference. May I never forget and always make the most of each day of this new, renewed life! I'm taking a Mendenhall River float trip out of Juneau and a wildlife boat trip out of Sitka. Hope to do lots of hiking, walking, taking pictures, . . . .
I pick up my college roomie from Dallas (also about a 4th cousin, long story) and her 90 yr old mom on Friday at SeaTac airport. We'll celebrate that 90th birthday with dinner at the Space Needle Friday evening early. Then on board about 1pm on Saturday, setting sail at 4pm.
I'll miss stopping in here even tho I haven't been here much the past few months. I'll try to catch a few at Hannah and Clara's but those wee ones keep everyone hopping!
Darlene, Is there a tall, dark Armenian in your future(or present)? Curious about the request for delicious dishes. Wondered if you're trying to catch one with your culinary skills, beauty, wit, and charm! You know, catch and release is a pretty good thing for the catcher. Not sure how good it is for the "releasee." Am I talking fish or Armenians? I think I need to try to get some more sleep, but I think I'll just make some coffee instead. Hugs,
Karen C
